A..Objectives of the course
The objective of the course is to guide the participants through concepts required to enable them to process financial information generated by organizations intelligently. This will help in better managerial decision making by interpreting financial information, as every managerial decision has a certain financial implications.
B. Target participants
The programme would be immensely useful for functional heads, team leaders, supervisors desirous of understanding financial statements and managing costs, irrespective of their domain area of work.

Name: Prof. Purushottam Sen and Prof. Asish K Bhattacharyya
Brief profiles
Dr. Purusottam Sen is a Former Professor of IIM Calcutta.
He has a B.S. from Birla Institute of Technology & Sciences, Pilani (India), an MBA (specialization in Financial Management) and a PhD (Fellow of IIM Calcutta) from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (India). He is also a Chartered Management Accountant from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, London – of which he is a member. His focus areas are Corporate Finance, Management Accounting, and Management Control Systems.
Dr. Asish K Bhattacharyya is a Former Professor of IIM Calcutta and Ex-Director of IMT Ghaziabad. He also held the position of the Technical Director in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He holds a doctoral degree from the Allahabad University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (London). His focus areas are Corporate Financial Reporting, Management Accounting and Corporate Governance.
